Summer at our Centre:
Shanklin VYCC becomes a make shift school for the summer months for foreign students and alot of the clubs that are restarting soon take a hiatus. The Community centre still takes part in many events and actives locally, this year especially, entering into Shanklin and Sandown Carnivals along with taking part and wining both Shanklin and Sandown Regatta tug of wars and retaining our Green Flag Status.
Providing a unique and inclusive space for the community
We are a unique club in many ways, voluntary and yet good enough and big enough to win national awards.
Our dedication to service has earned us the prestigious Queens Award for Voluntary Service as well as the title of best youth club in Hampshire in recent years. These awards are a testament to the hard work and commitment of our committee and volunteers, many of whom were original members in their youth.
We are proud to give back to our community and provide a variety of activities within the Centre as well as running sports activities outside the Centre.
