If you live in Shanklin and are interested in helping to look after your local community then please contact Bridget or Lesley at Green Towns, Shankin (07792174941 or 01983868309).

Volunteers have been brightening up various parts of Shanklin including  Railway Station Garden,  Library garden and also the War Memorial Garden in the Old Village.  Volunteers get involved with beach cleans and litter picks.  Many people are signed up to Green Streets and  help to keep their streets litter free by just picking up litter just for a few minutes each week.

All volunteers are very welcome - you do not have to be committed on a weekly basis - if you can only help out once or twice a year then that is better than not at all. Green Towns also offers a great opportunity to get out in the fresh air and make new friends!

We also involve children in litter picks and beach cleans.  If you have a group who would like to be involved please do get in touch.

If you would like to come along please give Bridget or Lesley a ring for more details.
